Volunteers Spring into Action!

Back to News & Updates

Olmsted Parks Conservancy would like to thank all the individuals and groups who came out to help during the Mayor’s Week of Service, and in celebration of Arbor Day and Earth Day 2014!

Individual volunteers and groups from University of Louisville, Power Creative, Cherokee Triangle Association, Heine Brothers’, Humana, Louisville Islamic Center, BSA Pack 30, Brown-Forman, Republic National Distributing Company, Kentucky Center for the Arts and Pro-Quest helped to plant and mulch trees, paint a picnic pavilion, clean-up debris, and remove invasive plants in several of our parks this past week. Check out pictures from the projects!

Special thanks also to Metro United Way for their help to secure funding for supplies for our volunteer projects! We certainly appreciate all the efforts to help us spruce up the parks this Spring for all of our community to enjoy!
