Save the Monarchs Father’s day gift

Back to News & Updates

Avoid the ties, dress pants, and golf balls this fathers day and give your Dad the gift of life and beauty in the Olmsted Parks.

The Monarch Butterfly is losing its population, and you can help give them new life this Father’s Day. Over the past 20 years the Monarch butterfly has seen a dramatic decrease in population of nearly 80%. Kentucky is one of the few states that sees these beautiful butterflies twice a year as they migrate to and from Mexico.

A $25 donation in your dad’s honor or memory will go to support waystations in the Olmsted Parks. These waystations will be planted by Olmsted Parks Conservancy to provide food and rest for the monarch as they migrate.
