After the first frost is the best time to plant trees. Through generous grants from LG&E and KU and the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), Olmsted Parks Conservancy will plant 200 canopy trees in Seneca and Shelby Parks during this winter and coming spring. All trees will be maintained and irrigated for a period of three years to ensure they reach maturity. Volunteers are needed to help with tree planting so please click here if you are interested in helping. Thank you to LG&E and KU and the MSD for their commitment to planting trees in the parks!
