North Overlook Design Recommendation

Back to News & Updates

Although its been quiet at the North Overlook, much has been happening behind the scenes. The construction designs have been approved, a contractor has been selected, and construction will start in mid-August. Click to see the PROJECT DESIGN!

During construction there will be some road and trail closures:

Vehicular traffic from Sullivan Grove to the current North Overlook will be prohibited. The Corbly Trail, which leads to the North Overlook, will also be closed. Those wishing to access the overlook during the construction period must do so only via the roadway by foot or bicycle from the Sullivan Grove Trailhead/parking area. The gate to the hill will be open and closed as normal this summer and fall, and will be closed, as it typically is, during the winter months. Due to construction, access to the actual Overlook itself will also be prohibited.

This project will be an investment of over a million dollars. If you would like to help support this project your financial support is greatly appreciated, CLICK TO DONATE, or call 502-456-8125.
