What’s happening with Bingham Park?

Back to News & Updates

In 2020-2021, Olmsted Parks Conservancy and Louisville Parks and Recreation engaged with park neighbors and users, as well as community leaders and other area stakeholders, to update the Master Plan for Bingham Park. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey, provided feedback through the interactive project boards and community input sessions during that process!

Recommended Park Enhancements:

• ADA playground & splash pad
• Improved accessible walkways
• Restored woodland areas, restrooms and fieldhouse
• Enhanced recreational facilities

Project Updates:

In Fall 2024, Clifton Architectural Review Committee reviewed Louisville Parks & Recreation’s application and proposal to demolish the existing restrooms. The proposal passed, making way for progress on the park renovation.

Olmsted Parks Conservancy is currently working with Louisville Parks and Recreation to obtain construction documents in an effort to get the project shovel-ready.

Next Steps:

• Full renovation costs estimated to be $4 million
• Your advocacy is needed to support fundraising!
• Become a member!
