Volunteers Help Make Park Improvements!
We have many groups of dedicated volunteers that help each week in the Olmsted Parks. Over the last few months, many projects have been completed in a variety of parks because of their hard work! Here are just a few of the projects:
- Baxter Square LMPD spread mulch around the playground.
- Iroquois Park Rutherford Elementary students cleaned up around Iroquois Pond.
- Cherokee Park Volunteers carefully removed invasive vines to help save trees.
- Seneca Park Catholic Heart campers repainted the equestrian bridge to give it a new look.
- Shelby Park Neighbors weeded and mulched trees to keep the park looking tidy.
- Elliott Park Volunteers scraped paint off the shelter to get it ready for a fresh coat of paint.
