Mary’s first week!

New Olmsted Parks Conservancy President and CEO Mary Grissom officially started on May 15, and we think it is safe to say that she hit the ground running!

In her first week:

  • Hosted celebrated author and 2023-2024 Kentucky Poet Laureate Silas House, our keynote speaker for our biggest fundraising event of the year
  • Showcased Chickasaw Park during a tour of historically significant Black spaces for the National Trust for Historic Preservation
  • Cheered on Mayor Craig Greenberg, Louisville Parks and Recreation and Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins at the opening of the Algonquin Park Pool
  • Conducted her first meeting of the Board of Trustees
  • Greeted Olmsted Parks Conservancy members and park neighbors at the Tyler Park Beer Garden
