Free Play at Tyler Park

Bring your family to Tyler Park, Wednesday, September 29 to explore a Free Play environment, a self-directed play space where children are able to build, create and engage on their own terms. Olmsted Parks Conservancy’s Free Play experience allows children to play together with ordinary materials, like string, boxes, tarps and hay bales, while trained facilitators supervise without interfering in the play process. As the kids turn cardboard boxes into forts, hay bales into obstacle courses, and chalk in to works of art, they are building creativity, teamwork, confidence and imagination. We will be set up next to the large playground on the west side of the park and will happily answer all parents’ questions. Hope to see you out there!
