Bluegrass on the Beargrass, Sunday June 9

Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy, Natalie Bajandas and the Natalie in your Neighborhood Real Estate Team present Bluegrass on the Beargrass, a free family (and dog) friendly concert in Cherokee Park.

Music starts at 2:30 on Baringer Hill, where guests can enjoy music from GRAMMY-award winning Noam Pikelny of Punch Brothers with Stuart Duncan, and local artists Plum Hokum and Relic.

Make your way down Beargrass Creek to Rugby Field for craft beer, fare from local food trucks, and activities for all ages – including a “jam tent” for musicians, face-painting, games for kids, and even a Frederick Law Olmsted Beard Contest.

About the Artists:

  • Plum Hokum: Louisville country western group with Sean Johnson, Anna Krippenstapel, Joe Manning, Chad Acton and John Pedigo.
Noam Pikelny with Stuart Duncan: Founding member of Punch Brothers, three-time Grammy Nominee and the 2010 Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass recipient.
Relic: Louisville bluegrass revival band with Aaron and Adam Bibelhauser, Chuck Sharp, Dave Howard and Tavis Conley.
