CENTRAL PARK PERGOLA RESTORATION

Back to News & Updates

The restoration of the 112-year-old Pergola in Central Park is nearing completion. The 105-foot-long and 12-foot wide walkway leading to a gazeebo has been the centerpiece of Central Park since its construction in 1904. Metro Parks and Recreation replaced multiple wooden beams that were deteriorating, fixed cracks in the concrete columns and installed stainless steel plates to strengthen the structure.
