Beargrass Creek Documentary Premiere
October 27, 2016 06:00 PM - October 27, 2016 09:00 PM

After two years of filming, walking, paddling, exploring, and editing, Morgan Atkinson with Duckworks is ready to release his newest documentary: Beargrass: The Creek in Your Backyard.  Two years ago, we came together under a crowd source funded Kickstarter initiative The Beargrass Kick Starter Video. The Kickstarter initiative, in combination with the Louisville Audubon Society, Metro Council districts eight and nine, MSD, and other individual donors provided funds for Morgan Atkinson to spend a year and half focused on Beargrass Creek.

In addition to previewing the film at the Clifton Center,

  • Tabling: Environmental and community organizations involved with the restoration of our Beargrass Creek.
  • Display of Beargrass Creek Conceptual Plan: The plan funded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville Metro Parks and over 40 individual contributors
  • Comments by Tom Owen: 26 years of public service as an Alderman and Metro Councilman on why restore the creek our backyard?
  • A Toast to Beargrass with Beargrass Creek Recpetion

Thursday October 27, 2016

Doors open at 6:00pm + Film & Discussion 7:30pm

This is an open community event to support the restorations efforts of our creek. There is a suggested minimum donation of at least $5.00. In addition, we are asking attendees to become a member of the Beargrass Creek Alliance or another local organization that is working to restore our creek.
