Other Ways to Give

Your investment is important to helping us fulfill our mission. There are many ways to make a donation to Olmsted Parks Conservancy.

Donate Stock

Giving marketable securities including publicly traded stock, bonds, or mutual funds can be a tax advantaged way to make your generous gift to Olmsted Parks Conservancy.  Appreciated securities, particularly those held longer than one year, may reduce or avoid capital gains obligations and allow you to take a full tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock at time of transfer.

Once the transfer is complete, Olmsted Parks Conservancy will sell the stock and put the proceeds to use supporting maintenance and protection of the parks while giving you the benefits of membership.

We encourage you to talk to your tax or financial advisor to better understand the implications of such a gift on your individual tax situation.

Your broker will require written instructions from you in order to initiate the transfer. Here’s the account information they will need to make the transfer:

When you let us know that you’ve made provisions in your estate plans you will become a member of the Circles of Leadership, enjoying invitations to special events, personalized tours and all the benefits afforded to our highest level of donors. This is our way to honor forward-looking individuals, like you.
