Monthly Interpretive Hike: Shelby Park Horticultural Tour

Over the last several years, Olmsted Parks Conservancy has filled Shelby Park with an interesting collection of flowering trees and ornamental shrubs. Mature canopy trees original to the park’s historic design are complemented by the brand-new walking paths and playground improvements. Learn about the unique plants of this vital neighborhood park on a horticultural tour led by Matt Spalding, certified arborist and Education Program Manager, on Saturday June 15. Meet at 1pm at the Carnegie Library building, 600 East Oak St.

This tour is wheelchair accessible. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Tour is rain or shine (but may be subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of severe weather). Weather-appropriate clothes and footwear with good tread are encouraged. Refreshments provided.
Tickets are FREE for Olmsted Parks Conservancy members and $8 for non-members.
