Tribute

Our Memorials and Celebrations program is a wonderful opportunity to tell your story. Share your memories and help preserve the Frederick Law Olmsted Parks at the same time. Take the opportunity to mark a life or an occasion with a beautiful wood-slat bench or a newly planted tree. We will work with you to find the ideal location for your commemorative selection in one of the 18 parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted.

Benchmark Tributes

Wood benches are available at various locations throughout the Frederick Law Olmsted Parks. You can dedicate a new bench or adopt an existing bench. All benches have a brass plaque that can be personalized with the message of your choice.

Bench Options (includes bench, shipping, handling, assembly and installation; engraving on a 10” x 2” bronze plaque; and tree/shrub planting and maintenance, guaranteed for two years):

• $1,000: Adoption of a previously installed bench with plaque
• $3,500: New bench and plaque in your preferred site
• $10,000: New bench and plaque with complete Olmsted vignette, consisting of one native tree and two shrubs

Tree and Shrub Tributes

In keeping with our annual planting plan, you will have many species and locations to choose from. By sponsoring a tree or shrub, you are making a living contribution, adding to the vitality and natural beauty of our parks.

Tree and Shrub Options (includes planting and maintenance guaranteed for two years, and a custom keepsake and special recognition certification noting dedication and location of the planting):

• $750: Endowment of a canopy tree (Oak, Tulip, Elm, Sycamore) with a trunk diameter of two to three inches
• $500: Endowment of an understory tree (Paw Paw, Redbud, Dogwood, Buckeye) with a trunk diameter of one to two inches
• $200: Endowment of a shrub (Spicebush and Coral Berry) with a height of two to three feet
