The quality of “delicacy”, which involves variety, intricacy, and fine gradation of texture, tint and tone, was fundamental to Frederick Law Olmsted’s artistic and civilizing purpose.

Support Us

support_us_overview

Planting native trees and shrubs, restoring historic pavilions, mulching, painting, cleaning our parks…these are all things that your dollars support when you make a gift to Olmsted Parks Conservancy. Only through the generosity of donors are we able to pursue our mission to restore, enhance and preserve the Frederick Law Olmsted Parks and Parkways.

A gift shows your dedication to the ideal that Frederick Law Olmsted Parks are the gems of all of Louisville’s parks. These parks should be held to a higher standard as they were designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. They are historic, unique and as such are of significant importance to Louisville’s culture. They not only contribute to our remarkable quality of life but also to our city’s economic prosperity as they attract high quality employees and boost tourism.
