Portland Elementary’s (an environmental magnet school) Principal Angela Hosch and a team of nine teachers will run the Derby miniMarathon with Fred’s Team to support the Olmsted Parks, including Boone Square. Boone Square offers a much needed green space for the Portland school and neighboring community. Many students use the park every day to play. Support their fund raising efforts by donating at the school or by sending your pennies to the students for their “Pennies for the Parks” campaign.
