CONSERVANCY NAMES NEW CHAIR OF THE BOARD

Louisville, KY (November 16, 2011) – After eight years of dedicated leadership as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Olmsted Parks Conservancy Bill Juckett steps aside as LouAnn Atlas, with a six-year board tenure, takes charge.

LouAnn Atlas, Vice President, Charitable Management Services at Fifth Third Bank, has been a key member of the Conservancy’s board for six years providing leadership on the Board Development Committee, giving insight on the Development Committee as well as the Executive Committee. Atlas, also brings experience from other boards such as Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare, Kentucky Country Day, and Actors Theater.

“LouAnn brings exciting new ideas and energy to the board and to the staff,” states Mimi Zinniel, President and CEO, Olmsted Parks Conservancy, “We all look forward to working together with LouAnn.”

At the November Board of Trustee meeting Atlas was voted in as well as this other board officers: Earl F. Jones, Jr. to Vice Chair (15-year veteran), Berard Tomassetti to his second term as Treasurer and Allen Bush to Secretary (15-year veteran). Newest trustee voted in was Jeff Polson, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare.

 

Olmsted Parks Conservancy Board of Trustees has an average tenure of six years. Ed Perry has served continuously since the start of the Conservancy 22 years ago. This year, Bill Juckett was recognized for his 13 years of service by receiving the Frederick Law Olmsted Award for Distinguished Leadership. Juckett served as Chair of the Board for eight years, as volunteer CEO of the Conservancy for seven years and helped raise over 10 million for capital campaigns.
