Fred's Facts

Iroquois Park was nicknamed “Louisville’s Yellowstone”. Frederick Law Olmsted’s design took advantage of the rugged terrain and the drama of the mature woodlands and scenic overlooks. At the heart of the park is a 10,000-year-old forest that blankets the knob’s steep hillsides with a great variety of rare plants and animals.

Come out for Make A Difference Day and help clean up this popular neighborhood park! Gloves, tools, refreshments and guidance provided. Dress for the weather and working outdoors. Long pants with old tennis shoes or boots recommended, no sandals please. Meet in the parking lot near the Pavilion just past the tennis courts. Register now.
