Fred's Facts

Frederick Law Olmsted’s “pastoral” landscapes exhibit a sense of extended space and gracefully modulated ground with smooth, close-cropped turf. This style he found to be a special antidote to the ill effects of urban life.

VICTORY PARK MASTER PLAN APPROVED

January 28, 2016

Now that the Master Plan is approved ground will be broken this summer to start work to enhancing the park. The first project will be the relocation of the basketball court to the northeast corner of the park to allow for a larger open area making room for more activities. These upgrades to the park are funded by generous supporters including the PNC foundation and James Graham Brown Foundation.

As soon as full funding becomes available the Conservancy will begin the second part of the project. This project will construct an internal walkway around the multi-use field.

See the diagram below for changes and enhancements. Thank you to the Victory Park community for their input and support on the master plan
